A CREATIVE teenager has made a bespoke mermaid costume and used it to spread the word about the Weston’s Top Model competition.
Samantha Sleeman, aged 14, is a student at Priory Community School.
She is severely dyslexic but has used her creative side to research, design and sculpt a full mermaid costume.
The design was showcased on Weston beach during a publicity stunt for the competition.
Not only did Samantha model the unusual outfit but she also took to the water to swim in the costume.
Weston’s Top Model is running now and will culminate in a fashion event at the Winter Gardens on July 18 between 10am and 4pm.
