A CLEANER from Worle swapped her day job at the toilets on Weston seafront for a taste of the glamorous life of a page three model.Michelle McManus, of Woodpecker Drive, spent a week living the jet set life of glamour model Katie Downes, a regular in men's magazines such as Nuts and Zoo.The role reversal was part of an episode of ITV Granada television series called Poor Little Rich Girl, which was screened on March 23.The 23-year-old moved into Katie's £1million luxury apartment in Liverpool for a week while the model started work for waste management company SITA by day and went dancing in Sands nightclub, in Beach Road, by night.Michelle said: "Katie's best friend Zoe stayed in the apartment with me and we went out socialising at some of the top bars and restaurants."I drank cocktails with actors from Hollyoaks and got to know Katie's twin brother Peter very well."When I told them what Katie would be up to they found it hilarious."The highlight of the week was a photo shoot in London when the photographer told me I had the potential to be a model."I also went shopping in exclusive boutiques, where I saw the girlfriend of England footballer Steven Gerrard, and had my hair and nails all professionally done."It was a great experience but I wouldn't want to do it again. I didn't like the idea of spending so much money all the time, I couldn't live like that."It's made me appreciate my family and realise money isn't everything and doesn't buy you happiness."I'm still in contact with Zoe and Peter, they were really down to earth."I met Katie on the way home and she obviously didn't enjoy the job and thought Weston was a bit boring, but she got on well with my family."Michelle has just been offered a job at the Priory Clinic in Bristol and is planning to embark on a new career as a drug and alcohol counsellor.
