A STAGGERING £80,000 is thought to have been raised by more than a thousand women walkers.
Weston Hospicecare's Midnight Beach Walk, supported by the Weston & Somerset Mercury, saw 1,100 women take to the beach to do their bit for the Uphill-based charity.
The walk, on Saturday, was the first of its kind and followed a route from Uphill to Marine Lake and back.
