WESTON midwife Keiley Tuck got a big surprise when she and her husband Lee found three baby hedgehogs in their garage.

The couple were moving their old washing machine in the garage of their home in Moorland Road and found the creatures curled up in some dead leaves.

Lee, a computer programmer, said they popped the babies in a box close to the spot they were found and waited to see if their mother would return.

He said: “Sadly she did not turn up so we delivered the babies to Secret World Wildlife Rescue centre who had been giving us advice by phone.”

Secret World founder Pauline Kidner, said they were being fed on a special milk formula at the centre in East Huntspill and would be reared until they were old enough to be released.
