Members of Milton Methodist Church have been busy knitting scores of poppies to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.

The church invited people from the community to contribute to the poignant display.

The poppies were knitted together to make a cascade which has been draped over the front of the church in Milton Hill.

Malcolm Gale, from the church, said: “We are very pleased with the display and very grateful to everyone who helped put it together.
