A Weston-super-Mare church is proudly displaying its cascade of poppies in a moving tribute for Remembrance Day.
Members of Milton Methodist Church have been busy knitting scores of poppies to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.
The church invited people from the community to contribute to the poignant display.
The poppies were knitted together to make a cascade which has been draped over the front of the church in Milton Hill.
Malcolm Gale, from the church, said: “We are very pleased with the display and very grateful to everyone who helped put it together.
“About 20 people from the church made poppies and we had donations from various other churches and people also dropped poppies in.
“We must have about 3,000 across all the displays.”
The church is holding a party on Saturday and a Remembrance Day service on Sunday at 10.30am.
