THREE mini motos seized by police will be destroyed under a new get tough policy.Officers confiscated the machines after three teenagers were spotted riding on the pavement in Herluin Way, Weston. They were thought to have been responsible for riding on, and causing damage to, the playing fields at Hutton Moor. The bikes will now be crushed and the wreckage disposed of as scrap metal. One of the riders is thought to have been from the Bournville area with the other two from the Coronation estate. The seizure comes after repeated police warnings about the use of illegal mini mopeds in the town and numerous complaints from residents about the antisocial nuisance they cause.Sgt Gareth Starr said: "Hopefully, the confiscation sends out a strong message that we will not tolerate this antisocial behaviour. "These machines can only be used on private land with the landowner's consent. They cannot be used on the road, pavement, cycle paths, verges or any place to which the public has access.
