A MINOR collision, a slow motorist and a man on the hard-shoulder of the M5 near Weston caused problems for highways officers this afternoon (Tues).

The Highways Agency and police were both called to the incidents between junction 20 and 21 from 3-4pm.

Using electronic signs, the authorities urged traffic to slow down as they attended to deal with the problems.

At 4.10pm, a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said road conditions were back to normal.
