Police have issued an appeal after a 40-year-old man went missing after a visit to the pub.

Dean Tate was last seen in the Somerset And Dorset pub, in High Street, Burnham-on-Sea, at 10pm on Friday.

Police say his disappearance is out of character, and they are concerned for his welfare.

He is white, 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build with short dark brown hair and brown eyes.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt with badges on the arms, black jeans and black Nike trainers.

He also wore a brown leather Superdry jacket.

A spokesman from Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “We’re using a significant amount of resources, including the police helicopter, to find him but we really need the public to call us if they have any information about his disappearance.

“If you see Dean, or have information which could help us, call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5218042329.”
