THE family of a Weston College student who has been missing for two weeks says it is desperate to get in touch with the teenager.

Ben Witcombe went missing on November 17 after leaving the pub where he works in Bridgwater.

The 19-year-old IT student, who commuted from his home in Wells to college in Weston, has not been seen since.

His aunt spoke to the Weston & Somerset Mercury this week about how the family longs to see Ben's face or hear his voice again.

Mandy Steerment, of Bilbie Close, Worle, said: "I saw Ben two weeks before he disappeared and he seemed OK.

"The night he was last seen he had finished work and gone out with a couple of friends but then said he was going home.

"I just want to say to him to come back and if he can't, to let his mum know he's OK.

"We can't understand why he has gone but also why he hasn't contacted her because they are so close."

Ben was last seen leaving JD Weatherspoons in Bridgwater and getting into his red Nissan Micra just after 2.15am on November 17.

He is described as a white man, 5ft 7ins tall with short, dark brown hair, a goatee beard and a tattoo on his right forearm of a cross with flames coming out of it. He was last seen wearing jeans and a light coloured shirt.

If anyone has any information about where Ben might be they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
