A mobile skate park which was bought by Weston Town Council for £29,500 in 2005 will be sold to a church for £1.
The council bought the skate park with the aim of taking it to parts of the town which did not have good youth provision.
It is now stored at Holy Trinity Church, in South Road, and has deteriorated to the point it is dangerous to use.
The council agreed on Monday to sell it to the church for £1 as long as it paid the £2,338 repair bill and brought it back into use.
The council’s alternative was to try selling it on the auction site eBay.
