THE official opening of a new Monarchs Acrobatics Centre in Highbridge will take place later this month.

Leaders of the acrobatics club have been searching for a new venue for the past few years and finally settled on a spot last month which was affordable and big enough for their equipment and all of their members.

After a lot of fundraising and hard work from parents and coaches, the centre will officially open on January 27 with a free taster sessions for budding acrobats.

The sessions will be held from 10.30am-1pm at the Unit 1b centre in Brue Way, on Walrow Industrial Estate. It will give people the chance to take part in the club’s gym tots sessions, preschool gymnastic sessions and acrobatic gymnastics classes for children aged four to 10 years.

There are also fun sessions which allow young people aged 11-18 years to try out the centre’s trampoline and air track, as well as opportunities for adults to use the facilities and get fit.

Competitive gymnasts will also be giving displays throughout the day. For more information email
