Archant

A CHEQUE for £400 was handed to a charity that will use the money to try to save lives.

Members of Woodspring Rotary Club visited World Waterworks in Midsomer Norton and gave the money to director Hugo Pike.

It will be enough to purchase seven purification kits, each of which will keep a family of 10 in Haiti in fresh water for 12 months.

The money was collected by the rotary club on Weston seafront two weeks ago.
