VILLAGE leaders in Cheddar will now be regularly updated on crime affecting the community.
Police in the Somerset resort are planning to report to Cheddar Parish Council at its full council meetings once a month.
Either a sergeant, PC or police community support officer will be present at meetings or a report will be sent in.
Sgt Mike Tripp said: "We will not report crimes that do not affect the whole village such as domestic incidents, but we will give information on village-wide occurrences such as the rave on January 19."
Councillors will also have the opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns.
