More refugee families could be given homes in North Somerset if the district’s scheme is increased.
North Somerset Council has already found a home for one Syrian family, but is hoping to rehouse two more.
But since it made its decision, the Government has extended its refugee policies, and is planning to resettle more children from war-torn countries in the UK.
The council will consider extending the scope of its refugee scheme in March.
