A CHARITY auction raised more than £10,000 for two vital organisations.

The auction, held at the Teal Farm Stables off Wells Way in Wedmore on June 4, raised the cash for The Injured Jockeys Fund and the Oldstock Spinal Unit in Salisbury.

The vast majority of the money was raised through the sale of 43 donated lots, while attendees also enjoyed a meal.

Event organiser Sue Francis said “I am so pleased for the charities by the overwhelming amount of money we have raised.

“I would like to give huge thanks to all the people who attended and donated so generously, and to all the friends and family who donated their time, in helping to make the evening such a success.”
