A NEW piece of art will soon be taking pride of place at a Clevedon school.
Pupils and staff from St John the Evangelist School, in Fosse Way, have made a giant mosaic to represent the creation of the world.
Bristol artist, David Bowers, from Mosaic Madness, was invited into lessons to help with the artwork.
The mosaic features a large tree with hoards of animals, including an eagle, to represent the school's emblem and the artist even managed to incorporate a picture of Clevedon Pier.
The impressive piece of art, which is made from broken tiles, will be hung in the entrance hall so it can be admired by the whole school.
