WESTON'S MP visited the 'strong army' that is fighting to reduce the threat posed by one of the nation's biggest killer illnesses.

John Penrose paid tribute to volunteers at British Heart Foundation having visited its charity shop in Weston High Street.

He said: “It was great to meet so many people volunteering their time and money to help people suffering from heart disease.

“It’s one of the country’s biggest killers, so it’s good to know there’s such a strong army of people willing to join the fight to beat it.”
