A Worle mum described her ‘terror’ after two men tried to entice her 14-year-old daughter into a van.

The teenager was walking home from school with three friends when the men, who were wearing hoodies over their faces, pulled up and shouted at the girls to ‘get in the van’.

The incident took place on Wansbrough Road, in Worle, on Wednesday at 3.30pm.

The woman says the incident ‘deeply affected’ her daughter.

She added: “My daughter and her friends were terrified. It struck me in that instant how all of our lives could have changed. I thank God they are safe.”

Avon and Somerset police say they have spoken to the two men and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

The mum took to social media to warn parents about what happened.

She said: “There was one guy driving and another in the back, both with hoodies pulled over their faces.

“Please get your children to take care and don’t let them walk home alone.

“The school will be informed. If anyone witnessed this please get in touch. Stop them.

“The police have been informed and photos handed over.”
