A MOTHER-of-two from Rooksbridge says she fears someone will be killed outside her house if action isn't taken against speeding motorists.Linda Kear, who lives in Rookery Close, says she and other residents want to see street lights and speed ramps installed at the front of her house because the road is being used as a rat run.Mrs Kear, who has an eight year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter, said: "It is pitch black out there at night and I am concerned for the safety of my children. It is dangerous because the bus stop is on a blind bend and people use the route as a shortcut to get back onto the A38. The worst times are evenings and early mornings."A lot of workers from the industrial estate up the road come this way home and some are absolute maniacs."Someone could get killed on this road. Only about one in 50 people stick to the speed limit. "Something needs to be done. I'm willing to get in touch with county highways.
