Museum buildings to be sold off

TWO buildings which were formerly part of Weston Museum are set to be sold at auction.
North Somerset Council has decided to auction off numbers nine and 11 Burlington Street, which were formerly used as offices and storage for the attraction.
When the museum was transferred from the unitary authority to Weston Town Council on April 1, the buildings were not part of the agreement, and have not been used since.
The decision has been approved by the council’s executive member for human resources, asset management and finance, Councillor Tony Lake, and officers will auction the properties off at a future date to be arranged.
