STAFF and volunteers at a Weston-super-Mare museum have been preparing to scare its visitors with terrifying costumes during a Halloween family fun day.

The Helicopter Museum in Locking Moor Road will be home to a haunted graveyard and a ‘hell-icopter’ display on October 25.

There will also be a Batman-inspired flight simulator, a fun trail, helicopter flights, charity stalls and Halloween-themed food and drink.

To raise money for the charity the female volunteers and staff of the museum will also be braving the stocks and pillory for a game of drench the witch.

The family fun day takes place from 10am-5pm and there will be free entry to children who arrive in fancy dress.
