NORTH Somerset Museum will play host to some of the traditional sounds of Somerset folk music on November 3.

The museum is hosting a special performance of folk songs collected by musical collector Cecil Sharp, which will be performed by local music duo Mrs Price’s Parlour.

Sharp collected dozens of traditional folk songs by travelling by bicycle around Somerset over 100 years ago, and writing them all down in his notebook.

The performance at the museum, in Burlington Street, Weston, starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8 for adults, £7 for senior citizens and students, and £4 for children, and are available from the museum.
