A CHARITY music night will be held next week to raise money for three organisations that help to care for unloved and abandoned animals.

Heather Kerr-Wilbur of Langford Productions said she and colleague Zena Simmons decided to hold a fundraiser after discovering a neglected dog.

Two years ago she took in Pennie Pippin after finding her with hardly any fur and underweight.

Pennie Pippin was cared for by North Somerset animal sanctuary Holly Hedge and money raised will go to the charity. Animal SOS Sri Lanka and Cheddar-based charity Prickles Hedgehog Rescue will also be supported.

Previous events have raised more than £2,500 for the three charities and it is hoped the music night on November 4 will bring in a lot more.

The event will be held at Shipham Village Hall where The Treasury will be playing live.

Tickets are priced £5 per person and fish and chips can be ordered on arrival. Guests are asked to bring their own drinks.

To buy a ticket call Heather on 01934 852822 or 07971 832611 alternatively email
