Animal enthusiasts grabbed their dog leads to enjoy a charity walk around Burnham on Sunday.

The RSPCA’s Mutt Strutt saw 45 dog walkers take their four-legged friends for a two-and-a-half-mile wander around Apex Park and along the seafront. The walk raised about £1,500 for the RSPCA Brent Knoll centre.

Volunteer and branch secretary Rita Hinton said: “The walk was really successful and the money raised is really going to make a difference to us.

“Our dog walking volunteers also took dogs from the centre out for the day.

“Everyone was so generous and we had a truly lovely day.”
