A WILDLIFE charity is searching for volunteers to help maintain two nature reserves on the outskirts of Weston.

The Avon Wildlife Trust is looking for helpers for two of its sites – at Purn Hill and Hellenge Hill, both near Bleadon.

The charity says it urgently needs help with replacing fencing, brush-cutting and felling small trees.

Volunteers would also help survey the plants, trees and wildlife found at the reserves.

A spokesman for the charity said: “If you have any time on a Tuesday or Thursday and enjoy being out in the fresh air, come and join us.”
