A WESTON father has passed out as a Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.
Daniel Boardman, who attended Broadoak Mathematics and Computer College, followed in his grandfather’s footsteps when he joined the navy in the Fleet Air Arm when he was 16.
He spent three years on board an anti-drug ship in the Caribbean, and completed two tours of Afghanistan with the 846 Helicopter Squadron. He has now passed out of a six-month course held at Britannia College in Dartmouth to become a Sub-Lieutenant.
