RESIDENTS in Somerset are being urged to work with neighbourhood police teams to reduce crime and tackle issues affecting their lives.
Booklets are being distributed to every household across the Somerset East and West police districts to introduce the neighbourhood teams dedicated to each region.
The areas included in these districts are Somerset County Council, Mendip and Sedgemoor.
The booklet includes a picture of each team, a map outlining the exact area they cover, contact details and a list of numbers for key support agencies.
Each neighbourhood team works closely with council services, volunteers and agencies to find solutions to problems in its area.
