Neighbours object to plan for old council building

PUBLISHED: 21:00 19 September 2012

A PETITION signed by 15 people objects to plans to change offices into houses.

The proposals for the former North Somerset Council building in Woodhurst Road, Weston, involve creating four terraced homes.

A total of five letters against the plan have been received, including the petition from 13 neighbours.

Their main objections include potential overdevelopment, insufficient off-street parking and loss of privacy.

The application is set to be considered by a North Somerset Council planning committee tomorrow evening (Thurs).

It has no objection from the town council and is recommended by officers for approval, subject to some conditions.
