MOST people think clubbing and booze go hand-in-hand, but a drug treatment organisation is launching an alcohol-free club night in Weston-super-Mare to challenge this stereotype.

The North Somerset Recovery Network, which brings together different drug treatment programmes and charities, has created the event, called Live Love Dance.

The DJs performing on the night will also be recovering from addiction.

A North Somerset Recovery Network spokesman said: “There are thousands of us whose lives have been transformed through recovery living here in North Somerset. This is an opportunity for individuals to celebrate life without alcohol and drugs.”

The dance is being held tomorrow (Friday) from 8pm-2pm at Club Tabu in the Boulevard, Weston.

There will be a purple theme and music from a variety of genres will be played.

Entry will be by ticket only, and tickets are available at £5 each from Addaction in the Boulevard and Broadway Lodge in Totterdown Lane, Weston.
