The Midnight Beach Walk will be held on Friday after it was rescheduled due to bad weather.

Hundreds of women were due to take part in the 5km candlelit route on September 30 in memory of loved ones, but it was postponed due to forecasts of high winds and heavy rain.

Weston Hospicecare has now rearranged the event with the help of the Grand Pier, which has offered the use of its regency suite.

Kelsey Delaney from the charity said: “We’re delighted to have the Grand Pier as sponsors of our Midnight Beach Walk again this year, and we’re very grateful to them for allowing us to start and finish the event in their regency suite.

“We’re really pleased we were able to reschedule it so quickly, and we welcome all women to join us as we light up the dark for hundreds of local people.”

People can still sign up at or by calling 01934 423960.
