One of Weston-super-Mare’s cemeteries will be recorded on a digital map to make it easier to find information for each of its 18,000 graves.
Weston Town Council’s existing database for Milton Road Cemetery was created alongside the town’s Family History Society.
But the computer programme it sits on is old and there are fears it could be lost.
The council will pay £5,150 for a company to create a digital map of the cemetery.
The new database will make it easier for people to find where their relatives are buried.
