A NAILSEA park is to be fenced off to prevent travellers from setting up camp on the land.
North Somerset Council is planning to put up fencing and hedges to prevent vehicles from accessing the land at Hawthorn Way.
The popular park is well used by youngsters and dog walkers and residents were outraged when the land was covered in rubbish last June after 12 caravans and a number of trucks set up camp on the beauty spot.
The work is expected to cost around £3,000 and councillors also agreed to look at ways to protect other vulnerable sites in the town.
