TWO fallow deer fawns have been given a second chance at life thanks to an animal rescue charity.

Angus and Devon were rescued separately by Secret World Wildlife Rescue and have been cared for at the centre in East Huntspill since June.

The pair were hand-reared by animal carer Josie Nott and have been released into an enclosed paddock, where they will gradually adjust to independent life before being freed completely.

Josie said: “We found a wonderful site for them where they have the run of a large wooded paddock. All the hard work has been worth it to see them take this big step towards life in the wild.”
