TWO supported housing schemes for Weston's vulnerable young people have been unveiled by mayor Keith Morris after extensive refurbishment.

The Wadham Street and Alfred Street properties will offer 17 studio apartments – each with en-suite bathrooms and shared kitchen facilities – to young people in need of support.

Site owner Curo will appoint a key worker to help link the residents to other specialist agencies, all designed to help them work towards independent living.

Curo manager David Wise said: “We are delighted to have opened these two much-needed schemes for Weston.

“The schemes provide supported accommodation to vulnerable single people, particularly people with mental health issues.”
