A Worle primary school has had a hallway makeover in preparation of the new academic year.

Pupils at Mead Vale Primary School, in Kestrel Drive, were welcomed back to school last week and were treated to a beautiful rainforest display in the main corridor of the school’s entrance.

Martin D’Arcy created the mural which features a jungle scene, ancient ruins and the occasional hidden creature.

Headteacher Jason Nicolaides said: “To reflect our values of ‘courage, curiosity and community’ and our aim to ignite a delight in learning, we have transformed our entrance corridor into a stimulating environment with a rainforest theme.

“This has created quite a buzz at school.”

The corridor features a corner table where youngsters can learn more about wildlife.

The aim was to create a warm welcoming to the school.
