A NEW poet is hoping to find funding for a book of poems so it can be sold in aid of Weston Hospicecare.

Andrea Ham, from Biddisham, wrote the pieces following the death of her sister Carol, who died from cancer in September last year.

The 50-year-old said: "I can't afford to pay for the printing of the first books so I am looking for someone to help me out.

"My friends and family all suggested that these poems would be helpful for others who may have lost a loved one.

"Every grieving process is different but I think by sharing my feelings it will help others to understand theirs."

The book, to be called Sweet September, Poems for Carol, will contain seven poems..

Andrea read the title piece at the beginning of the Midnight Beach Walk, held by Weston Hospicecare on September 15, which she also took part in with nine friends.
