A £1.7MILLION restaurant officially opened its doors to plenty of hungry youngsters at a special ceremony.

Students at Worle Community School will be able to eat their lunch in comfort in their new facility.

The building, which has one large area, four food counters, under floor heating and new furniture, has been called The Willow Tree Restaurant.

It was officially opened by school food trust chairman, Pru Leith.

As part of the new facilities there is a fingerprint system which allows students to pay for their meals in advance around the school before having their hands scanned when they want to eat.
