A Weston group marched through the town and unveiled a sculpture to highlight the ongoing issue of violence against women.
Weston Soroptomists headed through the High Street to Grove Park on November 25 to mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Group members dressed in orange – the theme of the day – and handed out bookmarks to people in town to further increase awareness.
The soroptomists also tied bows to the railings around Grove Park’s fountain to represent the number of women killed by their partners last year, before unveiling a new sculpture in memory of the victims.
Last year the group headed to Bristol which Joan Collins attended and her daughter Tara Arkle joined in the Weston event at the weekend.
