PORTISHEAD Local Action Team (LAT) is searching for a new site to build a youth shelter.
Members had hoped the shelter would be built on land at the rear of Homebase at Wyndham Way, but the owners of the land have refused permission for the facility to be based there.
A number of designs for the shelter have been considered, but the main contender is a solar powered shelter with a seat and an inbuilt radio.
The LAT would like to hear from anyone who has a piece of land that might be suitable for the project. Anyone who can help is asked to send an email to lpasley@hotmail.co.uk
