BARROW Gurney will soon have a new 20mph speed limit to stop drivers tearing through the village.
Work began on Monday to put five new speed tables, 20mph signs and anti-skid surfacing along the B3130, Barrow Street.
North Somerset Council is carrying out the work, supported by Barrow Gurney Parish Council which has been pushing for traffic calming in the village for years.
The improvements are due to be finished by the end of the week.
