A WEBSITE which was created to make life easier for soldiers serving away from home has had 20,000 people logging onto it in its first month.

BFPOShop Ltd, which is based in Wrington, was officially launched in July.

It is an online site dedicated to anyone serving in the armed forces. Users can order anything from gift boxes to flowers or chocolates for loved ones serving away from home, while soldiers can also shop for items including toiletries and edible treats.

Royal Marine Gary Moore launched the site after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and he is currently looking into letting people send 'morale boosting' parcels out to any military personnel, even if they don't know them.

The website at www.bfposhop.com is believed to be the first of its kind. If service men and women can be reached via a British forces post office number they can use it.
