A gallery has opened in Weston-super-Mare, where people can buy work by local artists.

LT Gallery, in Orchard Street, has been opened by Laura Tucker and Tomasz Piotrowski, who plan to host changing exhibitions of artists’ work, and their own.

Laura said: “The aim is to provide a dynamic link between artists, students, visitors and the wider art community.

“LT Gallery is a dedicated space where talented artists can showcase their work and where people looking for original art can purchase something they will love.

“Artwork for sale will include paintings, drawings, photography, print-making, woodwork and mixed media.

“We are pleased to part of a growing creative culture in the town.”

The current exhibition, which runs until January 7, is showing work by Sonia Heyworth, who makes collage works.

LT Gallery’s official opening gave people a chance to view her work, and similar preview events are planned so visitors can talk to the artists and find out more about their work.

The gallery will be part of North Somerset Arts Week in April 2017.
