A PLUCKY newsagent foiled an armed robber by snatching back his bag of loot from a masked man.The masked robber was pointing a gun at Hilary Burton of Avon News Agency in Burnham demanding she fill a bag with money and cigarettes. Husband David burst in from the back room and grabbed the bag from the gunman.He said: "I emptied the bag and took back the money and cigarettes. He asked for his bag back but I told him he couldn't have it."The gunman then fired a shot towards some bottles and fled the scene. As he was leaving, a customer who was entering the shop tried to stop him. The bottles shot at never smashed, so Mr Burton thinks the weapon was a BB gun, which fires pellets instead of bullets.Mr Burton added: "When he fired the gun I was very frightened."The incident occurred at 9.20am on Wednesday. The man is described as white, in his late teens, about 5ft 6ins tall. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket with muddy sleeves, a grey or blue top which was zipped up to the neck, dark trousers and a light blue belt.
