Permission is being sought for a blue plaque to be installed on a listed building in Weston.
Weston Town Council wants a plaque dedicated to architect Hans Fowler Price on the former School of Science and Art, in Lower Church Road, which is owned by Weston College.
It has applied to North Somerset Council for consent, as the building is grade II-listed.
The building is one of many designed by Mr Price, with others including the Wadham Street Baptist Church, now the Blakehay Theatre, and the Mercury office in Waterloo Street.
His blue plaque followed a vote in the Mercury. Plaques for Olympian Paulo Radmilovic, mayor Henry Butt, author Roald Dahl and artist Alfred Leete are already in place.
