NORTH Somerset’s health trust is to come under management from Bristol under plans to save money.
NHS Bristol chief executive Deborah Evans is to now also head NHS North Somerset and NHS South Gloucestershire.
The move, one of eight similar trust merges in the South West, will save the Department of Health nearly 50 per cent in management costs.
The new ‘cluster’ structures have been agreed by the South West Strategic Health Authority, and will come into play from June 1.
