A NIGHT porter at a Clevedon hotel was left with facial injuries after he was attacked during an early morning robbery.Two men called at the Walton Park Hotel at about 6.30am on June 24 asking for the porter to sell them some cigarettes.When the porter gave them the cigarettes the two men set upon him and punched him in the face and stole cash from behind the counter.They also made a failed attempt to get the keys from the safe.The porter suffered cuts and bruises to his face and was shocked, but otherwise unhurt.The robbers are described as white males, both believed to be in their mid twenties.One of the men was about 5ft 10ins, had short ginger hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt.The second male was about 6ft, slim with short brown hair and was wearing a T-shirt and jeans.Both men spoke with local accents.Police are appealing for anyone with information about the raid to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or Clevedon Police Station.
