Nominate your favourite places to eat and drink for local awards

THE best restaurants, cafés and pubs will be recognised during this year's Weston super Food Festival - and next week is your turn to nominate your favourites.
Thousands of people visited the town centre to enjoy last year’s festival and its food stalls, demonstrations and activities.
The event is taking place on September 27-28 and festival organiser Sally Packer promises this year will be bigger than ever, with more attractions on offer.
The Mercury has again teamed up with the festival to support the Weston super Food Awards.
Businesses in the Mercury patch will be competing for an award for best restaurant, best independent food business or best café.
Awards are also up for grabs for best breakfast, drink, pub food, takeaway and fish and chips.
A nomination form will be printed in next week’s Mercury where you can fill in your favourites.
Those with the most nominations will be shortlisted in the Mercury, and the winners decided from that list in a three-way vote between an online vote on the Mercury website, festival organisers and Mercury representatives.
This year the awards are being sponsored by Pappadoms Indian takeaway, which is therefore not eligible for an award.
The winners will be announced and prizes will be handed out during the festival.
