Nominations revealed for Phil Judd's councillor role

NOMINATIONS are now in for former councillor Phil Judd's position of town and district councillor.

The deadline for candidate’s submissions was 12noon today (Fri) and the Mercury can now reveal the names of the applicants who believe they deserve the role of parish and district councillor for Weston and North Worle.

Phil Judd stepped down from both roles at the beginning of the month.

The candidates wanting to join Weston Town Council are Robert Blackmore, Sarah Harp, Christopher Howell, Denise Hunt and Derek Mead.

The applicants who want to stand for North Somerset Council for the Weston and North Worle ward are Denise Hunt, Derek Mead, Edward Keating, Rachel Ling, Richard Nightingale and Steven Pearse-Danker.

A by-election will be held on July 25 to decide who will take on the roles.
