Fifteen Somerset community groups have been shortlisted to win a £10,000 funding grant.

The event has been organised by Spark in partnership with The Big Lottery, Sedgemoor District Council, Burnham and Highbridge Town Council and Bridgwater Town Council, and will see the nominees present their projects to an audience and judges.

Each audience member will be able to vote for their four favourite presentations and the guest panel will be on hand to ask questions and make sure each project has provided the best information.

Nominees include Burnham-based charities Hands Of Change and In Charley’s Memory, while not-for-profit Cheddar Project Programme has also made the final cut.

The full nominees and more information can be found at the event’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/events/1985434758391358.
