TREES landed on roads and houses and cars took a battering last week during several days of prolonged bad weather.
Parts of Somerset were put on flood watch by the Environment Agency and strong winds swept into the area.
Roads were closed across the district towards the end of the week because of fallen trees and a clean-up operation was launched in the aftermath of the unsettled weather.
